Digging Deeper into Day 69 – Delegate

One of the devil’s handiest tools is to get us to focus on what we cannot do, instead of what we can do through Christ!

If we are distracted by the things that we don’t do as well as we wish we could, we focus on our lack. This is a state of murmuring, complaining, and dissatisfaction with myself. It is going to spill over into other areas of my life. God doesn’t want us to focus on our lack. He can work through our lack, to bring about His plan.

God is bigger than any of our problems, any lack we may have, any failures we have experienced, He is bigger and greater. He never runs out of miracles.  Isn’t it awesome to see God move through the impossible?

Don’t look at what you can’t do but what God can do.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 NASB)

Therefore, I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10 NASB)

Today’s Challenge:
Intentionally be mindful of  ways that you focus on or highlight your lack. Let your goal be to redirect yourself, focusing instead on the Lord and His Goodness in working through your shortcomings. Ask Him to use your gifts as well as your areas of weakness for His purposes in your life.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, I thank You for the weaknesses in my life.  They are a reminder of my need for You. I ask You to help me to focus on You and what You can do in and through my life using both my strengths and my weaknesses. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
